No more delays, doubts and mysteries, because Nacon and Daedalic Entertainment have announced what in principle will be the release date definitive of The Lord of the Rings: Gollum. If there are no more last-minute changes, it will be the 25 of May when this adventure starring Gollum will finally go on sale.
The platforms on which it will be available from day one will be PS4, PS5, Xbox One, Xbox Series X/S and PC through Steam and the Epic Games Store. In principle it was expected that it would also be available on Nintendo Switch, although in this case it will not be released until later on a date to be determined.
The announcement has been accompanied by a full 20 minute gameplay which allows us to take a look at some of the main mechanics of this title that takes us to the universe created by JRR Tolkien. With a setting that takes place between the events of The Hobbit and The Lord of the Rings, all the prominence will fall on Gollum and his journey through Middle-earth.
To make your way through the scenarios, you will have abilities such as climbing, jumping and, above all, being as stealthy as possible to go through any area without being detected. Even so, the most important thing is his double personalityso we will have to decide if we want Smeagol, his kinder side, to predominate, or on the contrary, he ends up giving in to his darker side, that is, Gollum.
