Many of you will remember that a few years ago Wolfenstein 3 was rumored to be in development, but that was not the only thing, since shortly after, Bethesda itself confirmed that the third installment of this beloved franchise starring William Joseph Blazkowicz, was in development. After said confirmation, at the end of last year, a leak revealed that Wolfenstein 3 would be scheduled to hit the market during Q2 and Q3 of 2024which would be sometime during the months of April – September.
Although, next June 11 we will be able to enjoy the highly anticipated Xbox & Bethesda Games Showcasewhich has prepared many surprises for us, among which the new Fable would be present. But apparently, new clues now would have indicated that Wolfenstein 3 would be more alive than ever, which would be news for Xbox fans, who are looking forward to it, especially for the next Xbox and Bethesda event, where they could announce.
Will Wolfenstein 3 be announced at the Xbox & Bethesda Games Showcase?
A recent job offer of MachineGames, has revealed that the team is looking for a senior animator position, which has set off alarm bells for hope, as it could be hinting at the developer’s potential involvement in a new Wolfenstein game, which would be the third installment. This offer highlights two very specific qualities:
- Passion for videogames and especially for immersive first-person games.
- Experience in creating animated creatures and quadrupedal characters.
- Strong familiarity with MachineGames titles.

Taking all these factors into account, although MachineGames is focused on its new Indiana Jones project, it seems that it would also be fully into Wolfenstein 3. The last installment of this great franchise was released in 2019, so after 4 years, It is the best time to announce the game and launch it in 2024, which would be at least 5 years of development.
To further reinforce the argument, we tell you that a former MachineGames designer shared not long ago on his Linkedin profile that he worked both for the “next Indiana Jones game and another unannounced project.”
