There will be no peace for lovers of GTA Online, the multiplayer of GTA V. After learning about the disappointing update of taxi work (Taxi Work), a serious exploit on PC version that could corrupt your accounts, ban you permanently and give free reign to any hacker who wants to ruin your day.
The least bad thing that can happen to you is that your account statistics are completely reset, losing all levels, money (in the game), properties and much more. The worst that could happen to you is that you steal the account Y your dataincluding banking and real money.
This is not the first time something like this has happened in gta online, but rarely has it been as serious as the current exploit. The user @TezFunz2 from Twitter, famous for sharing information about GTA and Red Dead, has reported (via PCGamer) what is happening: “New exploits have emerged that allow hackers to remotely add, remove, or modify stats and permanently corrupt your account“, he says in the quoted tweet.
Rockstar is aware and have been logging any affected account before the first mod menu started abusing the new exploits.#GTAOnline https://t.co/eDtVrOGXQn

Translation: Rockstar is aware and has been logging any affected accounts before the first mod menu started abusing the new vulnerabilities.
Some users have shown what happens when this problem affects your account. @Fluuffball Twitter is an example. And says: “This is what it looks like if your account gets “corrupted” due to the recent RCE exploit on PC. You’ll basically be stuck in the clouds indefinitely when you try to get online. AVOID GTAO ON PC RIGHT NOW“.

Although Rockstar is already aware, many users (including Tez2 and @Fluuffball) recommend avoiding GTA Online on PC until the problem is fixed. Not so much for the character, but for all the data that could be exposed to hackers. If you were thinking of returning to Los Santos these days, we recommend that you refrain.
