If you’ve finished V’s adventure in Cyberpunk 2077, chances are you’ve skipped the CD Projekt RED credits. We don’t usually stop to look at an almost infinite list of names linked to the project, but the truth is that without their contribution it would be impossible to play the title that we have just surpassed.
Taking this important detail into account, the Polish company has just released an important update. Patch 1.63 makes several changes to Night City, but does not indicate in its notes that the credits are no longer the same. It has been the senior manager of localization projects, Alexander Radkevich, who has revealed what has happened.
We’ve just released a new patch for Cyberpunk 2077, and one of the undocumented changes is to the credit roll: we’ve added the names of ALL the announcers in 11 languages. More than 1,600 new names. Here is a snippet of the cast in English, Additional Voices section.
At first we only credited the main cast, but a few months ago we decided that it wasn’t enough or right, so we credited them all. We now have 6,500 mentions in our credits and more than 5,500 people mentioned in them. Thanks to @homma_force for pushing this topic!
As we can read, the number of people that have been added to the final compilation is truly outrageous. Initially, the credits of cyberpunk 2077 lasted 40 minutes, which is a long time, and now the extension is 54 minutes with the new inclusions. The head of CD Projekt RED in Japan, Satoru Homma, has been the main promoter of this measure. “Thanks for helping make this happen, Alex!” Homma pointed out on Twitter.
