Diablo IV character progression will continue to be as balanced as it is now.
Diablo IV has continued to be a hit since its release in early June, but now that it looks towards its first post-launch content and depth adjustments, it rules out the arrival of a popular Destiny feature. Like the Blizzard game, Destiny has an important loot componentalthough Bungie approaches it in a very different way and leave less things to chance.
From Bliizard they completely rule out that Diablo IV has in the future something similar to the Loot Cave or loot cave of Destinyan enemy spawn zone that was used as a experience farming zone and all kinds of objects. With Diablo IV they don’t just want to avoid sites like this, they also want to make sure that the game is as balanced as possible As for character building.
Freedom of choice in Diablo IV
During the first episode of the Campfire Chat podcast that Blizzard will host periodically from now on, Diablo General Manager Rod Fergusson and Game Director Joe Shely discussed how to balance in-game elements to avoid having something similar to Destiny’s Loot Cave. The idea is to balance Diablo IV so that there are no such “meta” functions in-game and make all player builds “viable” regardless of whether they have this or that item equipped in their inventory.
That is to say, from Blizzard they want to make sure that there is many different ways to get loot useful, proof of this is all the secondary content of the game and the end game content, such as the Nightmare Dungeons. Besides, they want not to condition the game so that a specific item is essential, so the balance between all items and builds of the game allows all players to enjoy the experience.
Diablo IV is available from the past June 6th, when it hit stores for PS4, PS5, Xbox One, Xbox Series X|S, and PC. Stay tuned for our in-progress Diablo IV review for all the details on what’s new from Blizzard.
