Elon Musk does not stop messing around after his purchase of Twitter.
At this point in the film it is not news to anyone that Elon Musk has taken over Twitter at the stroke of a checkbook, this being one of the mammoth purchases that have been happening throughout this year, although without surpassing that of Activision Blizzard by Microsoftwhich, despite seeming to be on track, is beginning to cause fear at the idea that it will not be carried out.
In any case, if there is something that has happened with this purchase of Twitter, it is the fact that many (if not all) of Elon Musk’s decisions are being heavily criticizedsince, among other measures, the millionaire wants users pay a monthly fee for the blue checkwhich until now served to verify that an account was the one that really came, which helped many companies to communicate information about their products, including video game companies.
Elon Musk’s measures are being highly criticized among users
Given this, it must be said that the negative point of the blue check comes from the fact that anyone can give themselves whatever name they want, being the only requirement to put in the description of the account that it is a parody. However, not many users make it this far, making it possible for several fakes can be eatenthis being what is happening with Nintendo, GTA, among other brands.
As you can see below, several users are reporting that parody accounts are taking names from video game companiescausing with this that there are several who are publishing fake news or even messages that can be classified as offensive, even though all this is being done on behalf of these companies. You can see some examples below:

It should be noted that to date Elon Musk has not commented on the measures they will takealthough it is expected that Nintendo, Rockstar, Valve and all the companies affected make complaints about it. For all these reasons, we will be waiting to see if they give or not a solution to this in the short term.
