Elven voices will only play in the deluxe edition of The Lord of the Rings: Gollum.
Just a few days ago, The Lords of the Rings: Gollum reached the Gold phase at the end of its development, something that Daedalic Entertainment now wanted to celebrate with a short trailer announcing the opening of pre-orders for the game. The video, which shows all kinds of images from the title, including Gandalf’s conversation with Gollum, lasts only 30 seconds, which has served to raise expectations.
The Lord of the Rings: Gollum will be released on 25 of May on PS5, PS4, Xbox Series X/S, Xbox One, and PC, while the Nintendo Switch version will arrive later. Its standard edition can be reserved for €59.99 on consoles and €49.99 on PC, while for ten euros more in both cases we will find the deluxe edition with a number of extras.
Compedium Bundle, an add-on that offers information about the history of Middle-earth and its characters, locations, and events; a digital art book with more than 100 original sketches and development secrets; the game soundtrack and elven voices that replace the English speech of the elves to their mother tongue are the additions of this special edition.
Gollum stars in his own adventure
The Lord of the Rings: Gollum will offer a story-focused action-adventure. Thus, players will embark on a dangerous journey as Gollum, in search of the only treasure that he knows thanks to his personality and cunning. However, players will have to survive and overcome challenges in different ways, also being able to climb, jump and grab to avoid dangers or reach favorable positions.
The game, which has unique features on PS5, will also include decisions that will influence Gollum’s personality, debating between his two faces, Gollum and Sméagol.
