The news about season 4 of Halo Infinite are being hard to come by, being likely unveiled in full during the Xbox Games Showcase celebration which will be held this Sunday. However, we have already been able to learn about some of the things that we will be able to see upon arrival, such as the infection mode, which has already been confirmed to debut on June 20.
However, this is not the only information that is available about Halo Infinite season 4, and it is that, as has been shared through Halo Waypoint, the 343 Industries team has listened to the community, which had been demanding a major change to Halo Infinite’s progression system. Well, with the launch of this new season, we will finally have news in this regard.
This will be the new progression system introduced in Halo Infinite season 4
This new progression system will be based on “career ranks”, which will allow players to work their way through a “larger progression system”, which would reflect actual hours spent on the game. To advance in this new system it will be necessary to play online games, and we will progress as we play more games, as well as depending on the performance we have in them. Therefore, the better games we make, the faster we will advance through 6 existing ranges.
The third phase of the Halo Infinite event is now available – Fracture: FIREWALL

This range will not only be available to us, as it will also be displayed during our multiplayer games, in a similar way to what we have seen in the past in games from popular franchises such as Call of Duty. From 343 Industries it has been ensured that this new Halo Infinite progression system is a way of wanting to recognize the time of the users.
Ultimately, we wanted to make sure that we are recognizing the time that you invest in Halo Infinite. Making sure your career rank is featured and visible to everyone whenever and wherever possible is key to that celebration.
Of course, an important element is that this new system will start from 0 for all players. The studio has confirmed that they will not take stats from before the Halo Infinite Season 4 premiere into account, so all players, both new and veteran, will start their “career” at the bronze rank. Therefore, if you want to reach the maximum rank (Onyx) you will have to do it on equal terms with the rest of the users.
