One tightens the belt to be able to indulge in a whim and your pet arrives to ruin everything. That’s what happened to Reddit user W33DM4573R, who shared the story of how his cat spoiled his party by buying a gaming monitor valued at 200 euros.
It was six months in which this player saved all the money he could to get hold of the product. We are talking about an Asus VA326HR, which has 31.5”, 1080p resolution, 144Hz refresh rate, curved and with a 4-millisecond response time. In Spain we can buy it for about 299.49 euros.
“I am disabled and out of work right nowI’m still doing a lot of therapy, so I haven’t worked in the last year,” W33DM4573R recounts how it was hard for him to get the money. However, the cat “tried to climb on the monitor and knocked it over, so it fell forward onto my bluetooth speaker that I had on my desk”, and the result is what you can see in the image below.
He himself points out that the person responsible is his cat Reaper, who is usually very calm and does not cause problems, although on this occasion he has not behaved well at all. In fact, he has shared a photo in which we can see him accompanied by the other two cats that W33DM4573R owns. “I love that asshole,” says his owner who tries to downplay the matter.
“The truth is that the cat had his five minutes where he went crazy and for some reason decided to climb on my monitor. I have had cats for my entire life, about 25 years, and never has a cat destroyed something as valuable as this monitor and it usually doesn’t go on my desk but things happen and it’s not the cats fault.
I live with two of my best friends in a house and I only have one big room so it’s not possible to have a separate room for my gear otherwise that’s what I would do. However, the next monitor will have a proper Vesa mount for the desktop, so at least it won’t tip over.”
The problem arises from the fact that the monitor did not have any kind of guarantee or insurance, which is why it could be obtained for that price. Despite this, the Reddit community has gotten to work and managed to offer you a replacement for your monitor. “Thanks to the generosity of some Reddit users, I’ll have a replacement soon!“, confirms W33DM4573R. According to him, there are positive and negative aspects of this whole problem, since “on the one hand, I will not play CS:GO for a while, on the other hand, I will not play CS:GO for a while”.
