The winter update will be released soon and will include many changes from Halo Infinite, with the Forge mode finally released in the beta, and the multiplayer mode adding a new mode and a couple of new maps. Additionally, the first-person shooter will also be overhauling its progression system with the much-requested introduction of match XP, which will definitely improve one of the most frequently cited issues.
According to one new update posted on Halo Waypoint, 343 Industries has provided more details about Halo Infinite’s changes to these aspects. Progression will now be tied to match XP: players will be able to play any mode they want, and XP will be rewarded for completing matches as well as performance in matches, including factors like being on the winning team, your position at the end of the game, etc.
