Despite its irregular reception by the public, Amazon Prime Video continues to trust The Rings of Powerthe series inspired by the universe of The Lord of the Rings that has caused a sensation since its premiere in September 2022. One of the protagonists of this series is Galadriel, the elf warrior who will try to restore light in a world full of darkness.
The first season of the series mostly followed this character, where she was forced to track down Sauron feeling that his power was increasing more and more after the death of his brother Finrod. Along with Halbrand for much of her adventure, the elf was last seen helping to forge the Rings of Power, in turn causing the creation of the three rings for the elves to maintain balance in the world. Middle Earth.
Now, with the end of the filming of the second season, the actress morphydd clarkwho plays Galadriel in the series, wanted to talk about the evolution that her character will have for this new season, assuring that she will be a totally elf different to what we’ve seen in the series so far.
“She (Galadriel) was having a bit of a mental breakdown last time and was therefore quite a bit more focused on herself. Having gotten over that, she is now thinking about the world around her and is trying to find happiness in other things than despite the darkness. So it’s been a lot of fun playing around with that, but also doing a lot of fun stunts and stuff again.”
While part of season 1 proved divisive to both hardcore fans of the work of Tolkien As for the most reticent, one of the aspects that received the greatest amount of criticism was Clark’s Galadriel attitude. Many followers felt that she did not have that sympathy that Cate Blanchett’s Galadriel did, although it is true that the elf we see in The Rings of Power is blinded by revenge. This change can be good news for fans of the franchise, since it seems that they have listened to the most loyal public and are trying to improve different aspects that did not come to fruition after the end of the first season.
