If the announcement of the new Elden Ring DLC, Shadow of the Erdtreeyou thought it was good news, so you are going to see the stars with the new information about it: it aims to be one of the FromSoftware’s biggest DLCs to date… and that Ancient Hunters of Bloodborne was not exactly short.
After knowing the first details of Shadow of the Erdtree and learning that the DLC will be released for all platforms for leave no player behind (unlike Horizon Forbidden West’s Burning Shores, for example), GamesRadar has revealed that FromSoftware began develop the DLC in April 2022. To put you in context, Elden Ring was released in February 2022.
In other words: the Shadow of the Erdtree DLC has fulfilled this month one year of development. This has set off alarm bells in the Elden Ring community: it is very likely a lot more ambitious, bigger and epic than we imagined. It aims to be the company’s most ambitious DLC so far. We do not have a release date for the DLC.
