Faced with the arrival of the beloved and hated PS5, Sony does not give any kind of stitch without thread. In recent times we have received huge amounts of classics developed exclusively for its predecessor PS4, but now with exclusive PS5 versions and without free updates between them.
Atlus came with all wheelbase bodywork with the “new” Person 5 Royalafter going through his barely second year of birth.
Person 5 Royal It is available for PS4, PS5, Xbox One, Xbox Series X/S and PC.
One of the most beloved stories by fans
If there is something that we cannot deny to the saga Person, is the immensity behind his script. There is no player who does not have a certain degree of unconditional love for the saga, whether someone with a taste for RPGs or not.
In this version we do not find many changes, really there are no changes. The story remains exactly the same. Our character, leader of the Phantom Thieves, is caught up in a police altercation. Where he is forced to tell each of the details of his crimes and his vigilante group.
It is here where we find ourselves immersed in a story full of extremely charismatic characters and an engaging narrative from minute 1. At times somewhat slow, but engaging.
Regarding its base version on PS4, the differences only lie in the addition of two extra characters in the narrative, Kasumi and Takuto.
One of the most beautiful soundtracks you will ever find
Visually we do not find too many changes within the new version of PS5. The visuals of the Persona saga are usually combined with high contrasts, exaggerated typography and colors that are quite striking. There is no realism in his aesthetics, but rather dynamism and eccentricity. And we must not leave aside its kinematics, fluid and abundant, it is a good alternative to get the player out of the monotony that an RPG style can bring.
At the sound level, what can I tell you, one of the best OSTs I could have ever heard. And that I am a great fundamentalist of Shadow Of The Colossus and its great soundtrack, but please, every track of person 5 it is a masterpiece. In this version of PS5 we find greater clarity to the ear, which adds too much to the great work that we find in the saga in this specific section.
THE BEST
- A great narration and a sum of other charming characters.
- Almost 200 hours of pure fun, with RPG content and a GREAT script.
WORST
- No appreciable graphical improvement is observed.
- There is no free upgrade from your PS4 version to PS5.
conclusion
Little can really criticize the acclaimed saga. It has an inherent balance between good writing, RPG battles, and storytelling. I could go so far as to say that it is a good introduction for non-regulars to the world of role-playing.
A very negative point is the backhand slap to those who already had the PS4 version in their hands, not allowing them the possibility of a free update to the PS5 version, like other installments.
