It seems that the relationship between Sony and Activision is not at its best. In the words of Sony CEO Jim Ryan, the company cannot take the risk that, being closely linked with a direct competitor like Microsoft, Activision to have access to information related to PS6 and hardware improvements that will come in the future. It is true that each company looks out for its interests, although in the end it issuppose a deficit in the services that they can offer to the playersthat in the end we are the community that makes it possible for these companies to enjoy such elevated status and power.
The CEO of Sony also added that it is logical that Activision Blizzard thinks in the end as an independent company, and that it is interested in making games for all possible platforms. However, that is not the case with Sony, and also from his perspective, for them currently Activision is more concerned with improving the business with Xbox than in taking advantage of the unique features of PS5 or helping Sony to encourage improvements in hardware for the future PS6.
