The PlayStation One remake of the game requires more time to modernize on the hybrid console.
Square Enix announced in the September Nintendo Direct the remakes of the first three installments of front mission. However, it seems that there are some other problems when it comes to making the new versions of the titles after Forever Entertainment has announced that Front Mission 2: Remake will not arrive on Nintendo Switch on June 12.
Just two weeks after the premiere of the remake, the company has explained that Front Mission 2: Remake is expected to launch now at the end of the year, although this is also not entirely certain after the decision has been made by default and in line with the development team. In this way, the delay is considered indefinitely.

“We want to make sure we have enough time to add as many functionalities as possible as we proceed with proper deployment and testing, to meet your expectations for a modern new release”, explains Forever Entertainment through a statement published on social networks in which they confess being “fully committed” to a polished and “faithful” remake of the franchise.
However, although the team is “working tirelessly to complete the project as soon as possible“, the truth is the new release plan in the third quarter of 2023 is not guaranteedso further delays are possible.

Front Mission 2: Remake will be the new version of Front Mission Second, a title that only came to PlayStation One in Japan.
