Nintendo has issued a new Nintendo Direct this afternoon about 40 minutes long that has helped us to get to know everything coming to Nintendo Switch during the second half of 2023. Until now we had that great doubt of what was coming and the truth is that there are a few months of the most interesting for all those who have the hybrid console.
Mario has been the undisputed protagonist with a long list of titles that he will star in, but there have also been surprises related to Pokemon, Dragon Quest and much more. That is why we invite you to take a look at the following summary with all the important announcements that have been made.
The next expansions of Pokémon Scarlet and Purple
The event has started strong with a new preview of the next expansions that will receive Pokémon Scarlet and Purple. So we have been able to take a look at the different Pokémon and regions that we will visit in these downloadable contents called The hidden treasure of Area Zero.
The downside is that we still don’t have an exact date for them, so the only thing we’re clear about is that The Turquoise Mask, the first of these DLCs, will arrive in the fall of 2023, while The Indigo Disc will be ready sometime in winter of 2023.
Detective Pikachu Returns
Another of the surprises related to Pokémon has been the announcement of Detective Pikachu Returns, which will mean the return of the duo formed by Tim and Detective Pikachu with a new and exciting case to solve. In addition, its release date has even been revealed: October 6.
Super Mario RPG
It is undeniable that one of the biggest bombings of the entire presentation has been that of Super Mario RPG, one of the most outstanding titles that Mario and company starred in at the time of Super Nintendo. However, this time it will come back to life in the form of a remake with an amazing graphic section to remember old times in the best possible way from the November 17.
Luigi and Peach will return in 2024
As if we have not had enough with the previous announcement, the big N has announced that Peach will star in her own video game at some point in 2024 of which only a brief teaser has been shown without advancing anything else about it.
Of course, it will not be the only one, because it has also been revealed a remastering of Luigi’s Mansion 2: Dark Moon, the second part of this series starring Luigi, although for this we will also have to wait until next year.
Batman: Arkham Trilogy
The Dark Knight will take a tour of the Nintendo console this year and in the best possible way, because it will arrive in autumn with up to three different games. This means that we will have action to give and take in a few months from the hand of Batman: Arkham Trilogy, which is an excellent opportunity to delve into the saga if you have never done so.
Mario + Rabbids Sparks of Hope Second DLC
Ubisoft said at the time that the content of Mario + Rabbids Sparks of Hope would be expanded over time with a total of three different expansions and this new Nintendo Direct has helped us to learn more details about The Last Spark, the second of these DLCs that will allow us to explore a new area, with new enemies and more surprises. Pikmin 4
Another of the great protagonists of the Nintendo Direct has been Pikmin 4, the next great launch that will take place on Nintendo Switch on July 21. Thanks to its new gameplay we have been able to take a look at some of the main mechanics of the adventure, although it has helped us to learn about new features in the form of mini-games, the fact of being able to teach the puppy Ochin new skills or unlock cosmetic items.
In another order of things, from the June 28th A demo can be downloaded from the Nintendo Switch eShop in order to warm up the engines for next month.

Mario Kart 8 Deluxe
The fifth expansion pack for Mario Kart 8 Deluxe will allow us to go through eight new tracks divided into two cups. However, that does not mean that this DLC is not exempt from surprises, because we will be able to compete in a completely new circuit called Accelerated Toilet together with three new characters: Floro Piranha, Floruga and Kamek.
WarioWare: Move It!
Wario loves to make us have a great time and intends to do it again with WarioWare: Move It!, the next title in the series for Nintendo Switch loaded with bizarre microgames. What will be special this time is that all of them will be characterized by the movement of the Joy-Con in order to make them more interactive. So the fun-filled afternoons will begin on November 3.
Amiibo from The Legend of Zelda: Tears of the Kingdom
We have been wanting to know if the outstanding The Legend of Zelda: Tears of the Kingdom will expand its content at some point, but what has been indicated at least during the Nintendo Direct is that they will be distributed in winter two new Amiibo, one of Zelda and one of Ganondorf.
Super Mario Bros. Wonder
The biggest bombshell of the event has been the announcement of Super Mario Bros. Wonder, the next big 2d platform adventure Mario and company. With its first trailer, it has completely conquered us with the fascinating animations of the characters, its new mechanics and even new powers, such as one that will transform Mario into an anthropomorphic elephant.
