The Aeternum Game Studios Showcase shows us a promising future for the studio, with a new cyberpunk-style game. The Aeternum Game Studios showcase, creators of Aeterna Noctis, has given us Interesting news about the future of the franchise and the studio’s new projects. In addition to delving into Summum Aeterna’s mechanics and gameplay, the development team has also confirmed a new DLC for its Metroidvania coming later this year, and Eden Genesis, a new IP outside of the Aeterna Universe.
Summum Aeterna is the prequel to Aeterna Noctis and will hit all platforms in September of this year. During the showcase on its YouTube channel we have had the opportunity to meet part of the development team, who have explained the playable keys that make this title a Roguelite never seen before. Those responsible us have talked about seed mechanicsand how this tool allows players to configure games by adding and removing genes, which will make them unique from each other, and if we add influences to that, everything will be even more chaotic.

The real surprises that Aeternum Game Studios had in store for the showcase began with the announcement of a new DLC for Aeterna Noctis. The voice of the Collector, one of the most important NPCs in this Metroidvania, challenges us to accept an invitation that we cannot refuse. According to the words of the developers, Virtuoso will be a boss rush that will allow players to once again face the challenging bosses of Aeterna Noctis. Undoubtedly, one of the most anticipated functions by the community, although surely Aeternum Game Studios has several new features that have yet to be revealed for this long-awaited DLC.
But this was not the biggest surprise of the event. Out of the blue, the development team confirmed that I was working on a new IP, a new project outside the already established Aeterna Universe. Eden Genesis is the name of this mysterious title, a cyberpunk-style adventure of which the studio has not wanted to confirm details except that its launch will be at least in 2024.

So this event has left a good taste in the mouths of many studio fans. In the same way, there is less left for the premiere of Summum Aeterna this September, and with the new DLC for Aeterna Noctis, we have this 2023 covered by the studio. We will only have more information about Aeterna Lucis, the sequel to Aeterna Noctis planned for 2024 and about which we have known little else apart from the fact that it is on the way.
