We can now see and enjoy Secret Invasion on Disney+, the new UCM spy series which features a special role by Samuel L. Jackson. The actor once again incarnates his mythical role as Nick Fury and this time he does it to face the sneaky threat of the Skrulls.
The alien race is beginning to infiltrate Earth and they have the particularity of being able to change shape at will, camouflaging themselves among the human population. However, what has powerfully attracted attention is the introduction for the chapters that Disney has chosen.
A kind of collage with watercolors, visual modifications and a really strange artistic section that has caught the attention of the public. More than one already raised their eyebrows and it has finally been confirmed: the opening credits of Secret Invasion have been created exclusively by an AI. Regarding the question, the director and executive producer Ali Selim has responded on it:
“When we contacted the AI vendors, that was part of it…it came straight out of the identity of the shape-shifting Skrull world, you know? Who did this? Who is this?”
Method Studios is the company that has designed the entire sequence and, although Salim acknowledges that “I don’t really understand how artificial intelligence works”, he was too fascinated by the methods of AI not to use it. “We would talk to them about ideas, themes and words, and the computer would start up and do something. And then we could change it a bit using words, and it would change,” acknowledges the person in charge.
In addition, he has also noted that the experience “felt exploratory and inevitable, and exciting, and different.” Meanwhile, the company remains silent about this whole matter, although it has already worked on productions such as Ms. Marvel, Loki and Game of Thrones.
