The studio behind Project Sirius, The Molasses Flood, would be looking for staff for the next The Witcher title. Thanks to a Reddit post, we have learned that CD Projekt RED has vacancies for the spin-off of The Witcher that they announced under the code Project Sirius. From the requested posts, everything seems to indicate that the new title based on the universe of Andrzej Sapkowski would have an online cooperative. Let’s remember that The Molasses Flood, a developer made up of industry veterans, was acquired by CD Projekt RED in 2021 with the purpose of assuming the development of a new original title in The Witcher saga.
In a recent post to the GamingLeaksAndRumours Reddit community, user Awkward96 shares a list of job openings posted by CD Projekt RED. The Polish developer would be looking for the following profiles: Senior World Builder, Senior Multiplayer Designer, Senior Combat Designer, Narrative Director, and Technical Game Designer.
From the description of the project, everything indicates that the new The Witcher would have a cooperative
In the job sheets for the various positions we found a list of details that could confirm that the new original title of The Witcher saga would have a cooperative. For the position of Senior Worldbuilder, the requirement is “bring to life the exciting world of our next stylized game»and, also, further confirming that it is Project Sirius, in it the applicant is informed of «remote cooperation with The Molasses Flood Boston studio».
On the other hand, for the role of Senior Multiplayer Designer, applicants are asked andExperience with cooperative multiplayer game design Y “passion for multiplayer games and systems (game modes, class design, player progression, social activities)». So far, the Polish company had only confirmed that it would be a multiplayer game.

With these data we know that the aforementioned title will use a stylized artistic style and that, most likely, it will give scope to the cooperative. Now, although this throws us key details of the project, what we find on the job page for technical designer is, to say the least, very revealing; the technician who aspires to the position will have to «have experience working with procedural generation systems” Y “design experience with heavy action/adventure game systems».
This information in itself means nothing, but if we review the titles developed by The Molasses Flood, we will realize that the setting of the successful Drake Hollow, a game that mixes base building, progression systems, light RPG, cooperative, semi-procedural generation and stylized art style, it would request just the skills that this new game from The Witcher universe demands. It is inevitable not to wonder if Drake Hollow lays the foundations for the next The Witcher.
