Although Microsoft has assured that the price of the Xbox Series X|S will not increase, it seems that this is not entirely true, since it was recently reported an increase in the cost of these consoles in Indiaa country where a console is a luxury that is affected by this type of modification.
According to Rishi Alwani, an analyst from India, the price of the Xbox Series X has increased by 6%, while the Xbox Series S is 8.5% more expensive. So here is the new cost of these hardware parts:
-Xbox Series S – ₹35,990 rupees.
-Xbox Series X – ₹55,990 rupees.
Compared, the PS5 Digital Edition is available at ₹39,990 rupees, and the regular PS5 is priced at ₹49,990 rupees. Along with this, accessories such as Elite controls have also increased in price in India, something that is becoming a constant in this country.
Alongside this, Alwani has mentioned that console sales of an Xbox Series X|S for every 10 PS5, and with this increase, this difference is likely to become more marked in the future. In related topics, it has been revealed how much money Microsoft loses on every Xbox sold. Similarly, Phil Spencer talks about the possible increase of the console.
Editor’s Note:
Although India is not a major market for Xbox, these kinds of tales make this more and more difficult. Although it is difficult to keep a console that is not sold in a specific market afloat, it would be best to only reduce the number of units available, and not affect the pockets of potential consumers.
