Nintendo Switch 2 hasn’t stopped playing lately and one of the games that will be available soon may have given a clue to the console.
One of the hottest news in the Nintendo environment is the successor to the current console, since Nintendo Switch 2, or whatever it finally wants to be called, aims for its launch at early 2024. At the moment, the big N has not ruled on this matter, so the most recent news would go through a possible new Direct dedicated to The Legend of Zelda: Tears of the Kingdom, which aims to be the last great release of the present generation. Now, a game that has not yet reached the market may have provided a new clue of the new system.
The title in question is Dune: Awakening, the MMO of the universe of one of the most successful sagas of the moment. Through the LinkedIn profile of one of its managers, Taku Wanifuchi, it has been possible to intuit that the game will be available for Nintendo Switch 2. This possibility responds to the platforms on which Dune: Awakening will land, citing PS5, Xbox Series X|S, PC and… TBA (to be announced). The most logical thing is to think that it is a Nintendo system, so after its delay to 2024, it would fit with the arrival of Nintendo Switch 2.
In fact, the track is most significant, since having the rest of the platforms makes it clear that it is a console yet to be announced and, except for a major surprise, Nintendo is the only one that has to make a move in the coming months. In this way, it will be necessary to be very attentive to any new information in this regard.
Nintendo Switch 2 could have leaked one of the main functions of its architecture
Everything points to that Nintendo Switch 2 would be a continuist console, but much more powerful than its predecessor. In this way, a leak recently pointed out that the manufacture of the main chip of the machine will be the work of Samsung. Nintendo and NVIDIA would have chosen the Korean manufacturer for one of the key pieces of the console’s guts, so its architecture should be very similar to that of the current machine.
At the moment, all this information must be treated very delicately, since Nintendo has not ruled on the matter and it seems that it is not close to doing so. Will have to wait until the event that the Japanese company will hold in June to know if it is officially revealed or not.
