With the acquisition of Activision Blizzard by Microsoft about to be achieved and, burning the stages planned to complete the operation in summer, there are still many voices and statements that reach us around this matter. The last one is that of neither more nor less than Bobby KotickCEO of Activision, who wanted to provide a little diplomacy in all this battle of powers.
In an email sent to all its employees, the head of the prestigious company mentioned Sony for how it has acted in recent months regarding the agreement between Microsoft and the Activision Blizzard King group, saying that “Sony’s behavior has been disappointing.” However, he claims that relations with Sony will not be affected.
Activision CEO believes relationship with Sony will endure
In the email that has been made public, Kotick refers to the incongruous arguments from Sony that Microsoft might deliberately release buggy and sub-par versions of Activision games on PlayStation consoles, and how she admitted to not being concerned about the Call of Duty deal, but only interested block acquisition.
We all know our passionate gamers would be the first to hold Microsoft accountable for keeping their promises of content and quality parity. And all of us who work so hard to deliver the best games in our industry care too much about our players to never release subpar versions of our games. Sony even admitted that they’re not really worried about a Call of Duty deal, they’d just like to prevent our merger from happening.

On the other hand, the CEO of Activision added that this is a disappointing behavior for a partner of almost thirty years, but that they will not allow all this to affect the relationship with Sony in the long term. PlayStation gamers can be sure that Activision will continue to deliver the best possible games on Sony platforms as they have always done since the launch of PlayStation.
