In less than 48 hours, Final Fantasy XVI will finally go on sale, the next big hit this year that will make us live an epic adventure led by Clive Rosfield and that will keep us trapped for tens of hours. Even so, those who are left wanting more will be happy to know that this chapter offers a great way to replay it.
Once the main story is finished, the mode will be enabled New Game Pluswhich is already very common in many video games, but in this case it is very special because it is in charge of unlocking an additional difficulty level, the so-called final fantasy mode.
In it, players will keep all the data from the previous game, such as the pieces of equipment, the skills unlocked and the level that has been reached. Also, the maximum level limit that can be obtained goes up to 100, it allows to create the legendary weapon “Ultima Weapon”, but the main difference is that the difficulty increases considerably.
In a video published by IGN we can see Hiroshi Takai and Ryota Suzuki, the director and combat director, respectively, talking about the biggest novelty that we can find in this new mode, such as the appearance of completely different enemies those that appear in a normal game.
For example, in one of the first zones the usual thing is to fight against a Wyvern, but in Final Fantasy mode it is replaced by a Chimera. Likewise, at another time it is time to face the Iron Giant, one of the best-known enemies in the entire franchise, so you have to prepare well and thoroughly to kill them.
Luckily, to counter these devastating attacks, we will be able to make use of powers that in a first game we would not have unlocked at that moment, which does not mean that it will be a real challenge to complete a second round of final fantasy 16 thus. You can get down to work when it goes on sale June 22nd exclusively for PS5.
