Subscribers to the multiplayer part of Grand Theft Auto V can enjoy Red Dead Redemptionincluding a story expansion Undead Nightmare with zombies. Rockstar started offering the western event today in GTA+ for PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X/S. The service is not running on the PC.
Red Dead Redemption is updated on PS5. It's a recently released re-release from PS4, so it makes better use of the console's power and offers 4K resolution at 60 frames per second. On the Xbox Series X/S, on the other hand, it is an old version from the Xbox 360, which, thanks to backward compatibility, runs in 4K resolution on the Xbox Series X/S and in 1440p resolution on the Xbox Series S. In both cases, it is frame rate locked to 30.
The action-adventure game Red Dead Redemption was originally released in 2010 and is a spiritual sequel to the game Red Dead Revolver from 2004. It invites you to a western adventure of the American West, where you will enjoy the endless prairies in the role of John Marston (gunslinger and former Dutch van der Linde gang member) with wild animals, cities full of rough people, gunfights and fights.
In Undead Nightmare you also play as Marston, but this time your task is not revenge, but finding a cure for the spreading zombie infection. The combat is very action-packed and features new weapons.
GTA+ launched on PS5 and Xbox Series X/S a year ago. Since September last year, it has been offering selected games from Rockstar for no additional charge. The changing list includes GTA: The Trilogy – The Definitive Edition, GTA: Liberty City Stories and Chinatawon Wars. The subscription costs CZK 159 per month.
