The actor who played Sylens passed away just a few months ago.
The developer Guerrilla Games has released a free update to add a tribute to Lance Reddick memorial in Horizon: Forbidden West. The actor, who played the character of Sylens in the saga, sadly passed away last March at the age of 60. “In honor of Lance Reddick, we created a monument to commemorate the profound impact he had on all of us.”, the study has now revealed through social networks.
“Thank you, Lance, for everything you brought to the role of Sylens: your seriousness, energy, wisdom, and more. An incomparable talent and friend. we miss you terribly”, ends the ad. That said, it should be noted that the monument created can be found in the Burning Shores paid expansionreleased last April.

Burning Shores, which is pretty much a sequel to Horizon: Forbidden West, sees Alloy beyond the Forbidden West. South of the Tenakth Clan Lands, where millennia of volcanic eruptions and violent seismic activity have transformed the ruins of Los Angeles into a treacherous archipelago, takes place a new story that gives rise to the more than possible third installment of the saga.
During the Epilogue mission, Alloy has a conversation with Sylens in which he mentions that he has found a clue in the information recovered from Burning Shores that may lead to a weapon powerful enough to defeat Nemesis, a corrupted AI created by Far Zenith, the main antagonist of the saga. In this way, it seemed that the character played by Lance Reddick was going to continue to appear in the saga, although it is now unknown how the situation will be dealt with.
The future of the Horizon saga
In 2020, the plan to carry out a horizon saga trilogy, while at the end of last year the three projects in development were confirmed, with a multiplayer experience, a new solo adventure with Aloy and an unknown project. From one of them, an art and a gameplay have been leaked.
