The second first-party Nintendo Switch game that will run on Unreal Engine is confirmed.
Although the engine Unreal Engine It has become one of the most used in the video game industry, the truth is that Nintendo is not one of the companies that bets on it. In fact, to this day, the only game released by the company using Unreal Engine is Yoshi’s Crafted World, title developed by Good-Feel, responsible for Yoshi’s Woolly World and Kirby’s Epic Yarn. However, it seems that there is already a second game on the way with this same graphics engine.
Pikmin 4 would be the second Nintendo game to use the Unreal Engine according to the download card of the game that can be purchased in physical stores. The title that will arrive exclusively on Nintendo Switch on July 21 shows this detail on its card that reveals new unknown features such as a 2 player cooperative mode and a section set in an interior area.

After reappearing in a trailer focused on its story and character editor, at the moment it is unknown if Nintendo will have found in Unreal Engine a perfect graphics engine for more games, although with Pikmin 4 they would already be two of its main sagas that jump to an engine full of novelties for the new generation of consoles.
