In the world of video games it is rare to see franchises as large as Shin Megami Tenseiand it is that the Atlus/SEGA IP has within its ranks games of the caliber of Persona 5 Royal and Soul Hackers 2, but it also has titles in other genres such as turn-based strategy in Devil Survivor, dungeon crawlers with Strange Journey and even in fighting games with Persona 4 Arena Ultramax.
The beloved IP turns 30 and intends to celebrate it in style with a 2 day event next May. This he announced in his official twitter account indicating that the event will take place in the city of Yokohama, will have multiple attractions for all fans and most likely the announcement of a new title of one of its sagas. Be it Persona 6 or another title and taking into account what Atlus/SEGA has done lately, the game would arrive subtitled in Spanish, this was unthinkable until recently and represents a great step in the expansion of the fandom on this side of the world.
The 30th anniversary of Shin Megami Tensei will have an event soon
We expect the event to be full of surprises, although I personally wish they would release their classic games on new platforms. We don’t have information about it at the moment, but we hope that we will finally see games like Shin Megami Tensei 3 or Shin Megami Tensei 5 on Xbox, and even better if classics like Strange Journey, Devil Survivor or the first Soul Hackers arrive.
Shin Megami Tensei games could be coming to Xbox very soon
we are xbox.com
We might think that the arrival of these games on Xbox is quite unlikely, but a very close rapprochement has been seen between those of Redmond and Atlus/SEGA, with the last 3 titles in the Persona saga already available on Xbox and additionally they are included in Xbox Game Pass. If we add to this that a few days ago Soul Hackers 2 was also added to the subscription service, it wouldn’t be surprising if this trend continues with the studio’s new releases.
