It seems that the topic and the controversies involving the FTC are never ending. This time it was because FTC Chair Lina Khan is under investigation by some members of the United States House of Representatives. Some hearings have been scheduled for the following months in which the current situation will be discussed.

This investigation has started in a somewhat peculiar way, since everything arises from the fact that Christine Wilson, former member of the FTCrevealed his resignation in a Wall Street Journal opinion piece in which he criticized Lina Khan and her constant abuse of power within the FTC.

The President of the FTC is under investigation, will this affect the purchase of Activision Blizzard?

It is a fact that this future investigation, with hearings scheduled for the coming months, will affect to a greater or lesser extent the purchase of Activision Blizzard. The FTC Chairwoman is under investigation and has also drawn some criticism from mainly Republican quarters, such as Sen. Mike Lee, who sits on the Judiciary Committee that oversees the FTC, who said the FTC was heavily influenced by anger and thoughts Khan’s politicians.

The criticism made towards Lina Khan, President of the FTC is for an assumption «contempt for the rule of law and due process” and “abuses of government power.”

It is a fact that the President of the FTC is under investigation. Since this spiral of attacks and brawls seems endless and will continue in the coming months, we can expect new information on a regular basis. What is clear is that if this investigation reveals abuses of powerand decisions made based on ideological opinions, the FTC would be very touched at the international level, and that would have repercussions yes or yes to all the cases that it currently has open.
