Although The Flash is not receiving the criticism that everyone expected, one of the characters that is receiving the most affection from the public is Supergirl. Interpreted by sasha streetSuperman’s cousin has surprised everyone with the great role she has played for such a peculiar character.
And, as usual, the actress has publicly expressed her desire to continue playing Kara Zor El in the new DC Extended Universe. However, it seems that this request has gone further and, in an interview with USA Today, Calle has confirmed that he has already met with James Gunn and Peter Safran to discuss his future as Supergirl.
“I look forward to continuing to play Supergirl. I love her so much and feel very attached to her.”
In previous interviews, the actress also mentioned that while Flash serves as a good starting point for exploring Kara’s story, she feels her character isn’t developed as deeply as she’d like. However, the superheroine will have a chance to redeem herself if she is finally cast in the role, as Gunn confirmed in January of this year that her big project, Gods and Monsterswill include the film Supergirl: Woman of Tomorrow.
But before being able to enjoy this film, we will have to wait a long time to be able to live the solo adventure of Kara Zor El. So far, we know that throughout 2024 we will have Waller and Creature Commandos, while on July 11, 2025, Superman: Legacy will be released with great expectation.
