Diablo IV has a huge menu of options to customize the game to your liking.
As in the previous installment of the series and many other games of the genre, when in the middle of a Diablo IV combat you try to cast an ability, but there’s no mana left enough, the character makes a comment about it. Something like “I’m out of mana” or “I can’t do that right now”, which you can hear many times in a single fight. What many may not know is that this annoying function can be disabled in the game options menu.
Lately, the protagonists of video games have a reputation for talk too much when they shouldn’tespecially in action adventures like Horizon: Forbidden West or A Plague Tale: Requiem, where they try to give clues on how to continue the game. In Diablo IV, it’s more about making comments when you can’t do something, either due to lack of mana or not being able to perform certain actions in towns.
How to disable character comments in Diablo IV
Turning player feedback on error on or off is as easy as Diablo IV, and whether in-game or on the character select screen, go to the “Options” menu and go to the “Sound” tab. At the bottom we will find the option “Player audio on error“.
As we can see in the following image, this function has three possible configuration options: On, Off, or Simple, which simply plays an error sound, instead of the character’s traditional phrase.
The truth is that Diablo IV has lots of accessibility options all types. It is advisable to take a look, because there may be some options that may interest us, such as play a specific sound each time a type of loot appears, not just the rare and legendary ones. Although the community continues to collect quality of life features that are missing from the game.
Diablo IV is available from the past June 6th for PS4, PS5, Xbox One, Xbox Series X | S and PC, and could already be preparing the arrival of the first post-launch content.
