Call of Duty is finally expanding to other game machines, namely mobiles, following the example of Fortnite and PUBG. After a year of monitoring the “Registered” button, we can measure our strength through pocket pets not only on the Verdansk map. Together, we will now look at the pluses and minuses of the pocket Warzone.
Surely someone is asking again why play on mobile phones. I personally am a supporter of mobile games. It is often a matter of entertainment for a few tens of minutes, which fills the time or brightens up the day. After all, you won't be reading the ingredients of your air freshener on the toilet. Many like to play at school, for example. The idea of friends sitting down in a group, during a break of course, inviting themselves to the team and cleaning the entire battlefield in a circle, sounds stylish. Compactness and the ability to take your favorite game basically everywhere is a real advantage.
Well, why play specifically Warzone on mobile phones?
At the very beginning, I throw off the table the idea that we would choose mobile Warzone instead of the classic one that we play on consoles or on computers. The smaller display and mobile controls do not add to the convenience, and the idea of adding a team of friends who play for example on the computer also goes sideways because, unlike Fortnite, Warzone Mobile does not support the function cross-play, which would allow you to play with someone on another game medium. Mobiles can therefore only be played with mobile phones (or possibly with tablets). And that mobile world is an advantage. So the idea is not to replace something, but on the contrary to expand the places where you can play. Basically, you don't even have to peel off Call of Duty Warzone. So if you have enough time. Because most of us work and we certainly can't play at work…

Although the game does not support cross-play, it does have cross-progress. This means that if you've purchased a Battle Pass on PC and want to get a dream skin, but know you'll be spending time away from home, your reward progression will still continue. Because the mobile Warzone account is linked to your main account. Which is great for both you and Activision. As this is a really big potential to sell more Battle Passes and skins.
Well, now to the main question, how is Warzone Mobile played and how fun is it. I remember being a bit skeptical when I tried my first battle royale games on mobile. But where there's money, there's a way. And the developers have made many friendly adjustments to make the more complex controls and combat in the zones manageable even for players on handheld devices. Mobile battle royale titles are enriched with intuitive virtual joystick control and many things are automated. Like running, shooting, or picking up items that you should potentially have in your gear. In this almost pampering in the field of control of Warzone Mobile is not left behind. On the contrary, it pushes the possibilities of modulating the game interface to the maximum level. You can set the size of the buttons, their position, and transparency.
Does your finger get stuck while shooting? Turn on automatic fire. In which you just aim at the opponent, but expect a small delay before the weapon starts firing, to be fair to those who chose the manual fire option. If you thought of expanding your control with a gamepad, that is also possible. I tried playing both on the Xbox controller myself, so on the controller, from the PS5, and even though I'm not a seasoned stick player, I got the hang of the controls after about four games. The control options are really great.
